ORBIS.ID · A FORK IN THE ROAD
Which of these is you?
There are four corners to this and most people are standing in exactly one of them. You do not have to know what it is called. Read the five sentences below, find the one that is true today, and follow it.
Pick the statement that is true for you
Why this page does not ask you to pick a job title.
The industry this site belongs to has three words for the three corners, and every one of them is a word you would only know if you already worked here. Asking a first-time reader to choose between them is asking them to answer a question about our vocabulary before we have answered a single question about their life.
So the sentences are written the way a person would say them out loud, each one starting with "I", and the corner is named on the page you land on — once you have already arrived, and once the word has something concrete to attach to.
One more thing worth saying plainly: more than one of them can be true of you. A bank hands out proof and checks it. A university does both and its staff hold their own. Pick the one you came here for today; the rest of the site does not lock behind it.
Before you pick a door.
Whichever corner you are standing in, this is what the thing behind that door actually does today — published, with what proves it, including the parts that do not work.

- Do I have to pick one to use the site?
- No. Nothing on this site is gated on a role, an account or a cookie. This page is a shortcut for people who want one, and the header carries every section regardless.
- What if two of them are true?
- Both pages exist and neither excludes the other. Organisations that hand out proof are usually also the ones checking it, and the two sides are described separately because they are separate operations, not because they are separate customers.
- Will picking one be remembered?
- No. This page sets nothing, stores nothing and measures nothing. There is no analytics on this site, so which statement you clicked is not recorded anywhere, including by us.
